Q. Tell us about your business and any new ideas that you have in mind to take the family business forward? Any of those ideas that you were able to implement successfully ?
A. My Father started our family business of manufacturing cable wires 25 years ago. We are manufactures of all kinds of PVC Insulated cable wires. The name of my company is Satyam Cable Industries. We’ve been supplying cable wires to all parts of the country.

My father has made sure that we become one of the best and most reputed brands in the market but everything that he has done has been through direct marketing. He has been meeting people directly and through that he has made what we have today. So by the time I completed my courses from IIPM I had developed a lot of interest towards B2B marketing and the digital way of promoting business. So first and foremost, I named our Ethernet cables (CAT 5, CAT 6) as ‘Satyam.net’ and all the sales of these cables particularly were done under the name of satyam.net. This was the first idea that I was able to implement successfully. I also started promoting and selling digitally and the response has been quite good. I’m coming up with a new venture called ‘Satyam Tech Hub’ and all the sales that we would make through our new brand are going to be through the various digital platforms. So the idea is to ‘Go Digital’ because whenever we have a thought in our head whether it’s about what should I order for dinner to where should I go to have a good time today we always say ‘Let me Google it’ So yes offline markets are going to be a thing of the past soon.

Q. "Great leaders are also great speakers” Do you agree ? How did your personality development classes help you in your business ?
A. Yes I do agree. I think great speakers can make people work for them and only great leaders have people working for them with a smile on their face. My personality development classes made me realise that my aura and the way I carry myself itself will decide whether I get good clients or not. These classes have given me the positivity and the right mindset that one needs to become an entrepreneur. Most importantly it taught me to use all the negativity around me to defy the odds and always be confident no matter what.
