intro

"As an entrepreneur a large chunk of your day is spent in dealing with people. So having a professional training in the nuances of public speaking and business communication helps you get past rookie mistakes and provides a solid foundation on which you can further build up your communication skills."

"SECRET TO SUCCESS - DO IT !"

Q. What ignited the spark in you to start the business? How did the idea for your business come about ?
A. Every business that I have decided to venture into has been based on two factors - first being able to identify a gap in the existing eco-system, and second understanding how technology can be used to make the venture scalable in future.

Q. What is the best advice you ever got ? From whom?
A. “Do It !"
This is the best piece of advice that I have got. It came at a time when I was at the lowest point of my entrepreneurial journey. With these two simple words my school professor turned friend, Mr. Vivek Sikri changed my game in that one moment, and it has been my motto ever since.

I believe whatever you are, wherever you are, keep doing what you can. The universe will eventually follow. I have also been very lucky to have my father beside me all through my entrepreneurial journey giving me valuable advice all through. I have also received some very valuable advice form all my faculty members at the various institutes that I have been a part of.

Q. "Great leaders are also great speakers” Do you agree? How did your personality development classes help you in your business ?
A. As an entrepreneur a large chunk of your day is spent in dealing with people. Being able to communicate your vision to the team members effectively is a very important thing. The ability to speak well goes a long way in keeping things running at the company. So having a professional training in the nuances of public speaking and business communication helps you get past rookie mistakes and provides a solid foundation on which you can further build up your communication skills.

Q. What are the key elements to starting and running a successful business ?
A. Research well
     Plan
     Implement
     Get Feedback
     Research again.

As you can see the secret to success is that the time that you spend in implementing the business idea, you should spend double that time in researching. Knowledge is power and that is what will guarantee you success.

Q. Marketing is the most important aspect of a business. How do you market your business ?
A. Marketing had always meant two things for me. Communicating the brand benefits to the potential consumer , and making sure he gets a hands-on experience of the service or product. Any medium that helps me to do these two things and engage my consumers becomes a part of my marketing plan.

Q. If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out what would it be ?
A. It is tough.
Seriously consider all the reasons that you can of why you should not be starting out as an entrepreneur. If all of them cannot drown the excitement to go ahead with your idea then only take the plunge.

Q. What motivates you ?
A. To remain invisible, unknown and yet move all of humanity towards leading a joyful and fulfilling life.

Q. What makes you happy ?
A. Seeing happy faces.

Q. What sacrifices have you had to make to become a successful entrepreneur ?
A. I would say I am still on my way to achieving what I want to as an entrepreneur. That must mean I haven't yet made the sacrifices required to get there.

Q. What is the secret to your daily productivity ?
A. I always hire the best and surround myself with some great people. It brings the best out of me too.

Q. Which other company apart from yours do you admire the most ?
A. I think Amazon is changing the game in more ways than people can fathom today. Also, Tesla is a company committed to making tech for the future. I like them both.

Q. Your favourite vacation spot ?
A. Any place any moment where I am guilt-free, joyful and unburdened from any self-expectations is a vacation. I have no favourites, any upcoming spot is my favourite until I find the next one.

Q. Your favourite book ?
A. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.
