Q. How did the idea for your business come about ?
A. Though my family business is of pharmaceuticals, but I always wanted to do something different. I am a foodie and very passionate about good food, so I decided to explore this area and that is what made me venture into the hospitality business.

Q. What is the best advice you ever got? From whom ?
A. I believe in one thing - opportunities are always around us, it is upto us to be able to identify them and benefit from them. That is the one thought which has always guided me. However when it comes to taking advice from others I am always very cautious. There is no dearth of advisers and no shortage of free advice. I listen to everybody’s point of view, which helps me learn so many new things, but finally I make my own decisions.

Q. "Great leaders are also great speakers” Do you agree? How did your personality development classes help you in your business ?
A. Great speakers are rather strong leaders. They know how to put their views across in such a manner that others start believing in them and their dreams and make it their dream too. Good communication is all about your confidence, your passion and your self-belief. My personality development classes, helped me in developing my self-belief and my confidence. I could get rid of stage fear and soon public speaking became so easy for me. This ability to speak in front of an audience has helped me a lot in taking my business further.

Q. What are the key elements to starting and running a successful business ?
A. If you have decided to do something then give it your 100%. Don’t do it half-heartedly. Success does not come overnight. Being focused all along is the key. When you are starting on your own, then sometimes initial success overwhelms you and you get so excited that you lose focus of the original goal. So whatever the outcomes always make sure you are chasing a challenging goal. This will keep you on track always and keep you moving higher and higher.

Q. Marketing is the most important aspect of a business. How do you market your business ?
A. In my business word of mouth is the most important thing and I make sure that everything I do creates a positive buzz and a good word of mouth. So its direct marketing that works best for me.

Q. If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out what would it be ?
A. Never take failure to heart, for most of the times failure teaches you the best things. When faced with failure always look for the positive things around you. You will be surprised to find that such a lot of positive energy is all around you and that will keep you motivated to move on.

Q. What motivates you ?
A. Happy customers motivate me.

Q. What makes you happy ?
A. Travelling. Even a short break, gives so much renewed energy and so much motivation to go back and work even harder.

Q. What sacrifices have you had to make to become a successful entrepreneur ?
A. It will never be possible to complete all the tasks on your to-do-list. Some tasks will always remain pending, so its critical that you fix your priorities correctly so that the most important tasks never remain pending.
