"The Personality Development Course at the institute helped me to learn the tactics that make relationships work."

"PASSION CAN BE HAZARDOUS. DEVOTION AND DRIVE IS WHAT ONE SHOULD SEEK."

Q. What ignited the spark in you to join the business? What new have you contributed to the business ?
A. When I started my first company it was the technology itself that ignited the spark. I clearly saw all the potential in the technology not just to make me money or build a valuable company, but also to do good in the world. I wouldn’t even say I was passionate about it at that time, just devoted.

The spark was more like a pivot in my life wherein I just accepted that it was time for me and that this had to be done. Passion is of course valuable, but it can also be hazardous. Devotion and drive should be what you’re seeking when you’re looking for that spark.

It is this devotion to my work that kept me going and today I have been able to setup two new plants in Pune. One is a forging unit and other one is Machining Plant. Both of these were setup under my supervision and both of them are doing extremely well.

Q. What is the best advice you ever got ? From whom?
A. My father thought I was drifting aimlessly and one day he told me: "A fool with a plan can outsmart a genius with no plan any day."

Q. "Great leaders are also great speakers” Do you agree ? How did your personality development classes help you in your business ?
A. Successful speakers understand their own emotions and recognise how those emotions, and the behaviours they generate, affect them and the audience.

By developing an accurate view of, and aptly managing, your own emotional responses to situations and the ways in which you impact others, the rest of your skills and talents will be duly magnified and leveraged. Great leaders know what pushes their buttons. They know where their passions lie. They know how to manage themselves and others in times of high stakes emotion, crisis, conflict and when backs are to the wall.

Great speakers know their emotional landscape, how to manoeuvre it, and are better equipped to handle hecklers, technical difficulties and the numerous other things that can trip up an otherwise perfectly planned presentation. So surely to be a great leader one needs to be a great speaker.

The Personality Development Course at the institute helped me to learn the tactics that make relationships work. If you have a great personality, you will always find a way to manage smoothly all the relationships. The course taught me to handle even the worst situations with dignity and in the most respectful manner.

So, no matter if you are playing the role of a boss, mother, son, husband, citizen or a student, you will understand the dynamics of relationships through personality development courses, which is a very important skill to master.

Q. What are the key elements to starting and running a successful business ?
A. 1. Find a need!
Is there a market niche for your particular product or service? Does the world, or even your community, need what you have to offer? Only by sampling and testing will you be able to determine this with any degree of certainty. The most important aspect would be to determine a Unique Selling Proposition for your product or service. Too many business owners are just trying to be me-too companies. You cannot be just like the next guy and expect to prosper in this volatile economy.

One of the most important things I learned from my Dad was, there are really only two things to consider, and next to them everything else is minor. Those two things are: (1) What do you really want? And just as, and perhaps even more important, (2) Are you willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it?

2. Be good at what you do.
Are you as good as, or better than, the next guy when it comes to producing/marketing your product or service? This element requires an honest self-assessment. "What are my abilities?" To determine your abilities you must take an honest inventory of yourself. Examine every possibility and be sure to include strengths and weaknesses. Will your strong points be able to let you overcome your deficits?

3. Have true passion for the business. If there is one element you absolutely cannot do without, it is passion. Passion is an irresistible attitudinal energy that generates power. Do you have a passion for working with your particular product or service? Notice, I didn't say "do you like what you want to do?" There are too many competitors out there who are ready, willing and able to "eat your lunch" when it comes to competing with you. They may have found the same niche that you have found. They may like what they do as much as you do. But what separates the winners from the losers is passion.

Q. Marketing is the most important aspect of a business. How do you market your business ?
A. If you want your business to be successful, the service or the product you are offering must be known so that you will have potential buyers. If your business is unknown to the community and you don’t have any kind of communication with your customers you need to use marketing strategies to create awareness for your service or product.

Not having a proper marketing plan may result in potential customers not being aware of any offers your business has to make, and result in your company losing the opportunity to expand and become successful. So, if you use marketing to promote your company, it will give you a chance to be discovered by many potential customers.

My company does the marketing by giving the utmost importance to our customers. Understanding who your customers are, what makes them tick and what they really want and value, and of course staying in touch with them long after the sale, puts you ahead of the competition.

Q. If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out what would it be ?
A. Choose a market that is rapidly growing; ideally growth rates should be above 10% a month. Avoid spending your time raising capital. Just build you product. Raising money is mostly a waste of time. Some of the most successful companies, such as Google and Facebook, were products before they were companies. If you concentrate on per employee revenue, growth and rapidly implementing features you will need less investment and receive it at a higher valuation later on.

Q. What motivates you ?
A. I’m not going to hide the fact that money is of course a major motivator. It’s the primary reason most people go to work each day! But the fact that I am taking forward the legacy of my dad and taking it to new heights each day is surely a major motivation to me.

Q. What makes you happy ?
A. Spending my time with family & friends makes me happy. It relaxes my mind and helps me a lot to concentrate on my work when I am back in office.

Q. Your favourite vacation spot ?
A. Undoubtedly, Dubai. It’s the best vacation spot for all age groups and has activities for everyone. So whenever I can sneak 3-4 days here and there I love to go there and chill with my friends.

Q. Your favourite actor ?
A. Salman Khan
